We, REAL Church RVA, are a non-denominational and multicultural community of believers. We are a people that desire to see the word and fame of God spread throughout the earth. We desire to give assistance to God's people by teaching them to take principles in the Bible and apply them to their everyday lives. We are a safe haven for all nationalities, races, and colors. Our mission is to help break denominational boundaries, generational curses, and the limits of traditionalism. We at REAL Church RVA know, that we are not perfect and do not expect anyone else to be. Church should be a place of healing and restoration, so we are following our commission to be that. We aspire to help people be real with themselves and then be real with God.
What We Believe
1. The Bible
The Holy Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and serves as the rule of faith and ethical conduct. It is the Holy Bible the believer should make a lifetime commitment to study for the perfecting of their spiritual growth.
(II Timothy 3:15-17)
The one true God with a everlasting existence who reserves uncontestable sovereignty. Through his omnipotent and omnipresent characteristics God revels himself to man as the Father; as Jesus Christ (the Word of God in flesh); and the Holy Spirit.
3. Salvation of Man
We believe there is salvation for every lost and sinful man. Salvation is redeemed through confession and belief in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the true Messiah.
We believe in baptism by immersion of water as a representation of your past being buried and your future with God resurrected.
(Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19)
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe that if you are a willing vessel, the Holy Spirit will take residence within you and provide guidance, comfort, and power. The evidence of the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence is a changed life through the expression of the fruits of the Spirit.
(Acts 2:4; Ephesians 5:18-21)
6. End Times
We believe in the rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 4:14-17)
We believe that a commitment to prayer is the believer’s divine and continuous connection and communication to the Almighty God. Prayer develops relationship with God and a level of comfort in your life.
(Colossians 4:2; Philippians 4:6-7)
We believe that a commitment to Worship is a privilege of the believer to please the Almighty God. We believe in worshiping the Lord in spirit, song, and with the raising of our hands. We believe that we are to praise & worship Him with our whole being.
(Psalm 150:1-6; John 4:24)
We are a church that believes in tithing and presenting a tenth of your income to the church. The tithe is the responsibility of the church, because it allows the church to function properly and allows the members to prosper.
